Utah County Class Action Dismissed

On August 20, 2005 a CD release party on private property in Spanish Fork Canyon was raided by county police. Promoters Brandon Fullmer and Nick Mari along with landowners Richard and Trudy Childs filed a class action lawsuit against the count alleging various violations of the constitutional rights of partygoers by the sheriff's office. The class claimed excessive force was used to break up the party and that the party was broken up even though they had the correct permits. An attorney for the class filed a first amended complaint in U.S. District Court, opting to dismiss without prejudice their action and claims. (Apr-12-06) [DAILY HERALD]
