Price-Fixing Among Airlines Cost Them $504 Million

Jointly owned Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, together with Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd., Martinair Holland and SAS Cargo Group, have been named in a $504 million settlement for price fixing.

The price-fixing has cost the flying public hundreds of millions of dollars between 2001 and 2006, with fuel surcharges rising as much as 1000% in some cases.
