Prudential Financial Medical Claims Settlement

More than 700,000 physicians and doctors filed a class action lawsuit against the insurers for allegedly underpaying their medical claims. Prudential did not admit any wrongdoing, but after five years of litigation, agreed to pay a $22.2 million settlement. (May-04-05) [THE STAR LEDGER]
