Publix Super Markets

In 1998, the Association for Disabled Americans filed a class action lawsuit against the supermarket chain for allegedly violating requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Publix did not have ATMs, service counters, deli ticket number dispensers, or produce bags to accommodate people in wheelchairs. They have agreed to a $260,000 settlement for their violations.
