Mediation has been ordered by a Superior Court judge in the class action lawsuit filed by the National Center for Youth Law on behalf of foster children. The suit was filed in 1998 in reference to a group of foster children who were placed in multiple foster homes after being taken away from their parents by the state. The suit seeks to stop the state from bouncing foster kids among different homes, to improve mental health services for foster kids and to give foster parents better training.
