Subway Footlong Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Reached

This is a settlement for the Subway Faces FootLong Sub Consumer Fraud Class Action Lawsuit lawsuit.

- by

Santa Clara, CA: A proposed settlement has been reached in the Subway Footlong Sandwich Marketing and Sales Practice consumer fraud class action lawsuit. The lawsuit, filed two years ago, stemmed from a photo of a "footlong" Subway sandwich next to a ruler showing it just barely stretched to 11 inches. In the lawsuit, plaintiffs in this lawsuit claim that DAI has marketed Subway® Footlong sandwiches as being 12 inches when they are not in fact 12 inches. Plaintiffs make a similar claim about the marketing of Six Inch sandwiches.

The proposed settlement requires Doctor' Associates Inc. ("DAI"), the franchisor of Subway® stores, to make or continue certain practice changes regarding Subway® Six Inch or Footlong Sandwiches.

If approved, the Settlement will require DAI to keep the practice changes in place for four years. The Settlement does not include any monetary benefits for Class Members and does not release Class Members' claims for monetary damages.

A Settlement Fairness Hearing is scheduled for January 15, 2016.

I don't get them either! The Pictures look good but the subs 6 in & 12 in are no ways the way the picture look like! Get out of here! Subway lies!!

I never get close to six inches or twelve inches. I do find this as false advertisement and misleading as well as a rip off.

I, too, am upset that my foot long was not 12 inches. My husband and I love subway but when you pay for a foot long and get an inconsistent sandwich from this establishment, it makes it hard to return.

My daughter and I have purchased a few subs from Subway, but finally stopped because their sandwiches were not as portrayed in picture on their advertising..In actuality they were only 6 inches as opposed to 12 inches..We just figured why pay the foot long price for a 6 inch sub..
