A federal judge has ruled in a class action lawsuit that permanent resident status must be granted to the nearly 22,000 people nationwide who have been granted asylum. Judge Richard Kyle stated that the government's legal violations were "so widespread, so egregious, and so plainly harmful ... As to constitute nothing short of a national embarrassment."
