On October 7, 2005 38,000 BC teachers walked off the job and stayed out for 10 days. A class action lawsuit has been filed in Victoria, BC claiming the teachers union illegally went on strike. The class was filed on behalf of parents who suffered monetary damages when teachers walked off the job last fall.
