Advanced Medical Optics has voluntarily recalled 183,000 packages of 12-ounce Complete MoisturePlus multipurpose contact lens care solution packs that may be contaminated with bacteria. The eye care products maker said the recall was due to a production line issue at its manufacturing plant in China and has temporarily ceased all manufacturing there to clean and sanitize the plant. Contact lens wearers should stop using the recalled products immediately. People should remove their contacts and talk to an eye care specialist immediately if they experience eye infection symptoms such as redness, pain, tearing, increased sensitivity to light, blurry vision, discharge, or swelling.
