DirecTV

DirecTV advertised to clients, that if they signed up for a two-year contract, they would receive a free portable DVD player. However, when Christopher Kolker received his DVD player, it was a traditional, full-sized DVD, not the portable DVD player he had been promised.

Kolker has filed a class action lawsuit, alleging breach of contract, on behalf of all persons who have received the same treatment from DirecTV.

DirectTV claimed the portable DVD player had a value of up to $169, but the full-sized DVD that Kolker received was only valued at $29.99.
