San Diego County and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention



A $100 million class action lawsuit has been filed against San Diego County and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention on behalf of a group of residents who suffered losses in the Cedar fire which began in October 2003. The suit alleges that the county and CDF "failed to provide adequate or timely fire suppression activities" to and that the fire facilities at the Ramona airport, near the origin of the fires, were not properly manned when the fire began.
