The class-action lawsuit against Stimson Lumber Company is pending in the Superior Court of Washington in and for King County, and is entitled Gardner, et al, vs. Stimson Lumber Company.

You are a Class Member if you own or have owned buildings clad with Stimson Series 400 or Series 500 hardboard siding ("Forestex hardboard siding") installed after January 1, 1985, in the states of Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Utah, Colorado or Hawaii.

Specifically, Plaintiffs allege that Stimson advertised and marketed its hardboard siding as a durable and suitable home and building exterior product when, plaintiffs allege, Stimson knew that the siding was inherently defective and prematurely fails by rotting, buckling, discoloring, delaminating and deteriorating when exposed to normal weather conditions.
