Fox Collision Center Inc.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the auto repair chain for allegedly laying off more than 100 employees without providing the required 60 days' notice. The lawsuit also alleges that checks issued before the layoffs were not honored by the defendant's bank, resulting in a loss of income of more than $10,000. The class action was filed in US District Court in Oklahoma on behalf of former employees.

Fox Collision Center had 18 locations in three states, but closed its five Tulsa locations at noon on October 27, 2007. The auto repair chain's two locations in Oklahoma City also were closed, as were locations in Edmond, Midwest City and Norman.

I showed up for work one day to find the doors locked. I called my ex-girlfriend, who is good friends with my boss' ex-wife, to find out what was going on. The ex-wife told my ex-girlfriend they "Shut Down". I feel I suffered damages because I was not properly notified about the "Shut Down" which led to the loss of all my tools and other personal belongings which to this day has not been returned to me. In addition to the loss of my belongings, Fox Collision still owes me a paycheck.
