Georgia Boot Recall

GeorgiaOn April 25,2006, Rocky Shoes & Boots Inc. of Nelsonville, Ohio in cooperation with the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) announced the recall of 1,300 'Men's Safety Toe Waterproof Hiker Boots'. The product test results suggest that the boots may not comply with safety standards for crush and impact resistance. This could result in consumers receiving impact foot injuries.

Under the Georgia Boot brand name, the boots were sold nationwide through independent shoe stores, web sites and other retail outlets from October 2005 through February 2006. Cost: $90 - $100. The style numbers that consumers should be concerned with are G1623 and G1624 and they can be found on sewn-in labels inside the boot.

GeorgiaThe rubber-soled boots come in a variety of colors including brown, rust, and beige and in light brown brushed leather with black or tan nylon mesh. The hooks and eyelets set on steel washers.

Consumers should stop wearing the recalled boots immediately and return them to the retailer where purchased and receive a full refund.
