IKEA recalls ANGAR and SAMLAS outdoor candles

Approximately 133,000 packages of outdoor candles have been voluntarily recalled by IKEA. Several accidents occurred after the candles' wax caught fire and produced a high flame, thereby posing a fire and burn hazard. The outdoor candles recalled are the ANGAR (#200.301.24) and SAMLAS (#100.999.58). They were sold six candles to a package, with silver-colored metal containers filled with white wax and measuring four inches wide by two inches high.

The candles were sold at IKEA stores throughout the U.S. from February 2001 through July 2005 for about $4.

Consumers are advised to discontinue using the recalled candles immediately and return them to the nearest IKEA store's "Returns and Exchanges" department for a full refund. Pone IKEA at (888) 966-4532 or visit their [website].
