On Jan-19-03, a hard drive went missing from a secure area of the Regina offices of ISM, an IBM subsidiary.

Among the information included on the drive were the investment statements of more than 600,000 clients of the Investors Group Inc. and bank account details, social insurance numbers, dates of birth and employers' names of 180,000 life insurance and pension customers of Co-operators Life.

The theft may also have compromised personal and banking information of an estimated 10,000 SaskPower customers, as well as billing information for its 430,000 residential and industrial customers
