Toyota Lexus GS and Lexus IS Recall

Toyota recently announced a recall of 57,000 Lexus luxury vehicles due to defective seat belts in certain 2005 or 2006 models. The recalled Lexus models include GS430, GS350, IS250 and IS350.

Consumers with affected Lexus models should have the seatbelts replaced immediately. According to reports, the seatbelt winding device can become jammed, making the seatbelt unable to pull out or retract. As of April 14th, 2006, there was no information about the recall on the Toyota or Lexus websites.
