A Statement of Claim has been filed in the Ontario Superior Court regarding allegations of abuse in residential schools for Aboriginals.
The Aboriginal residential schools case is a multi-billion dollar class action and involves claims by the thousands of former residents of these schools, including claims for neglect, sexual and physical abuse and for the systematic destruction of the residents' cultural and family relationships between 1920 and 1996.
