Shelly's Restaurant, Manhattan

In a class action lawsuit, Shelly's Restaurant is alleged to have misappropriated employees' tips and did not pay its workers overtime. The Manhattan steakhouse and oyster bar is accused of engaging in a scheme to take workers' tips and give them to managers. According to the Restaurant Opportunities Center of New York, a labor rights organization, the restaurant company has a record of mistreatment and discrimination of its lower-paid and immigrant workers.
