THIS COMPLAINT IS FOR UTAH RESIDENTS ONLY.

A class action lawsuit has been filed by a Utah lawfirm on behalf of the state's estimated 1.4 million Internet users, claiming Sprint Corp.has conducted an illegal spam campaign since early May.

Utah has specific legislation governing the sending of unsolicited commerclal email, (UCE) which must have
  • an "ADV:" tagline in the subject line of the e-mail,
  • a valid Internet domain name,
  • the company name and street address
  • a convenient method to opt-out of the promotion.

Investigation of the UCE shows it violates most of the Utah UCE requirements: the e-mail came from someone at "grouplocco@vbs.net," didn't include a street address, had no opt-out link and had no "ADV:" tagline.

If you feel you qualify for damages or remedies that might be awarded in this class action please fill in our form on the right to submit your complaint.
