The ServiceMaster Company and Terminix

A class action lawsuit has been filed against the pest control companies for allegedly failing to provide termite services as required by statute. The case was filed in Madison County Circuit Court and claims the defendants violated the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Practices Act by concealing their failure to provide proper termite services. Terminix was uniformly obligated to provide services to protect homes from termite infestation through assuring the effective application and maintenance of chemical barriers in the soil under and around the foundation of property. The class claims Terminix uniformly and continuously failed to conduct adequate inspections and re-inspections for termite infestation and other wood destroying organisms.

Terminex goes up on their yearly contract .The last 4-5 years I have called them to protest, Terminex said they raise their costs because of more expensive and better chemicals. I have lived here and in the same house for approximately 20 years and there has not been any chemicals used here in more then 10 years.
It is same for my rental house right next door to me. And the price goes up every year there too.
