Class action status has been granted to people employed by Tyco alleging deception by the conglomerate's retirement savings plan. The class claims Tyco hid the true value of the company when offering its stock as an investment option in the plan and knew the stock was a bad investment. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of any U.S. employee of Tyco who invested retirement savings in Tyco stock from August 12, 1998 to July 25, 2002.
