Tyson Fresh Meats

A price-fixing class action lawsuit filed against Tyson Fresh Meats, (previously IBP Inc.,) has been scheduled for trial on Jan. 12, 2004. The suit alleges that the company illegally restricted price competition for cattle sales, leading to lower prices for the farmers. Eligible class members include producers who sold cattle to Tyson on a cash basis from February 1994 through October 31, 2002.
