W. R. Grace & Co.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against W. R. Grace & Co. on behalf of employees. The suit alleges that the company caused the employees to lose about $40 million in profits in their personal retirement accounts by forcing them to sell their Grace stock at a distressed price of $3.50 per share. The stock tripled in value soon after the sale, but the 300% profit was taken from the Grace employees and pocketed or diverted to others by State Street Bank & Trust of Boston, the Plan's investment advisor.
