Zyvox

The US Food and Drug Administration warned that the use of Zyvox to treat patients with catheter-related bloodstream infection may be linked to an increased risk for mortality. Pfizer's Zyvox or linezolid was linked with an increased risk for death compared with other antibiotics such as vancomycin, oxacillin, or dicloxacillin. Zyvox is approved in the US to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including pneumonia and skin infections.
