A $2 million settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed on behalf of 550,000 people who have dealt with the company since 1994. The suit alleges that the company, which collects debts for prosecutors in Iowa and 15 other states, threatened the plaintiffs with criminal charges and other empty threats.
