A class action lawsuit was filed against the online auction service for allegedly engaging in improper billing practices. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of EBay users and claimed conversion, negligence and violations of unfair competition laws. The Superior Court of the State of California, County of Santa Clara, approved the settlement agreement where the internet company agreed to make a $250,000 payment primarily directed to charity.
