Experian, TransUnion and Equifax

A settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed against Experian, TransUnion and Atlanta-based Equifax, requiring that the companies must make it clear if a person has personally filed for bankruptcy or not on credit reports. Prior to the suit, a bankruptcy notation could appear on a person's credit rating if they had co-signed for a loan or had a joint account with someone who had filed for bankruptcy. According to the settlement, the companies will be required to amend their records and remove the bankruptcy notation from existing records for people who have not actually filed for bankruptcy, which at present they are estimating to be 2 million to 3 million people. My credit reports are terrible. I have a perfect payment record, I’ve paid off two of my cars early, one is marked derogatory because I paid it off and the account is now closed, the other shows that I still owe money for the car that I’ve paid off. My credit scores keep going down the better I am paying religiously on time. I hate this because it makes me look bad when I am, in fact, the best kind of customer that anyone could have. These credit reporting agencies are a joke. They ruin my credit rating and my character for no reason. I want to sue them into the ground for their dishonest business practices. Or at the very least get in on a class action suit.
