FreeMarkets Inc.

Investors filed a class action lawsuit against the company which was acquired by Ariba Inc. in July 2004 for $500 million. The lawsuit claimed FreeMarkets inflated revenue from Visteon Corp. between July 24, 2000, and April 23, 2001. The suit also alleged that Visteon payments should not have been counted as revenue as FreeMarkets issued Visteon discounted stock warrants in exchange for their purchase of software and services.
