Marsh & McLennan Cos. Class Action Dismissed

Shareholders tried to file a class action lawsuit against the company for allegedly failing to disclose improper trading at its Putnam Investments unit which enabled Marsh stock to trade at inflated levels for a certain period. The class action complaint was filed on behalf of all purchasers of publicly traded Marsh securities between January 3, 2000 and November 3, 2003. The U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland has granted the motion to dismiss the case. (Mar-03-06) [INVESTORS BUSINESS DAILY]
