US Army veteran Larry Celano became a paraplegic after he was shot during the US invasion of Panama and Rich Thesing injured his spine in a diving accident as a teenager. The two men are confined to wheelchairs, but continued to play golf at the Half Moon Bay Golf Links course. After repeatedly denied requests for a modified golf cart, the men filed a class action lawsuit against the course owner Ocean Colony Partners alleging disability discrimination. The golf course owner has agreed to purchase two modified carts. (Mar-10-06)
