A settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit filed on behalf of inmates challenging the $25 charge that required inmates to pay for part of the cost of their incarceration. The county will refund the approximately $30,000 it has collected from inmates, and the fee will no longer be charged. (Oct-09-03)
