More than 70 clients filed a class action lawsuit against the owner and operator of the two homes, Andrew Pratt, for allegedly mishandling mortuary trust funds. The class included people who signed contracts with Pratt to established accounts for prepaid funeral expenses. Some of the accounts were never set up or if they were set up, funds were withdrawn from the accounts without the person dying. Pratt has agreed to a $250,000 class action settlement. (Dec-07-05)
