A class action was filed on behalf of 31 employees against the Scarsdale painting and building contractor for unpaid work and overtime. MSC Painting allegedly wrote bad checks and failed to pay overtime and therefore violated minimum wage laws. The U.S. Department of Labor awarded the workers a $120,000 settlement to cover wages and damages. (May-11-05)
