Shorewest Realtors filed a class action lawsuit against the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in April 2005, alleging that the daily newspaper improperly inflated its circulation numbers. Shorewest is a major classified advertiser in the Journal Sentinel, published by Journal Communications. Journal Communications will reduce its revenue in the second quarter by $5.1 million due to the settlement. The money will cover credits to be issued to run-of-press advertisers and a voluntary offer to preprint advertisers. (May-30-06)
