Former users of the menopause medication, Prempro, tried to file a class action lawsuit against the drug's manufacturer. A 2002 study revealed the drug increased women's risk of breast cancer, heart disease, stroke, and dementia. A U.S. District Judge has denied a class certification, however there are still over 2,000 personal injury suits filed that may go forward. (Aug-31-05)
