A class action lawsuit was filed on behalf of former South End tenants claiming the developer did not refund interest earned on last-month rent from 1998 to 2005. The real estate firm transformed former industrial buildings in the South End, south of Washington Street, or SoWa, into a fashionable area of loft-style units and shops. GTI Properties has agreed to pay the former tenants a $105,000 class action settlement. (Aug-08-06)
