SPS Temporaries Inc.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a class action lawsuit against the employment agency alleging discrimination against employees based on race, gender, disability, age, and national origin. The class could potentially include hundreds of current and former employees. SPS allegedly complied with clients' requests for only white or male employees and improperly screened employees to weed out those with potential medical issues. SPS Temporaries Inc. agreed to pay $500,000 into the class action settlement, while their clients, Whiting Door agreed to a $60,000 contribution and Jamestown Container will pay $20,000.
