A settlement has been reached and is pending approval in the class action lawsuit filed on behalf of thousands of parolees. The suit was filed in 1994 and alleged that the current parole system violated the plaintiff's constitutional rights by forcing them to endure unreasonable time behind bars without speedy hearings.
