Los Angeles Angels Class Action Dismissed

Santa Ana, CA: A class action lawsuit was filed against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim claiming gender and age discrimination. On Mother's Day 2005, the Angels baseball team gave out tote bags to women over 18 years of age only and the suit claimed that every person who attended the game regardless of age and gender should have received a tote bag. Orange County Superior Court Judge Jonathan Cannon dismissed the lawsuit and noted that the tote bag giveaway was not biased against men and that the event was a way to honor mothers.
