Shareholders tried to file a securities fraud class action lawsuit against the teen clothing store. A judge from the U.S. District Court of Central California dismissed the case because "alleged misstatements made by Wet Seal were forward looking statements protected by the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act's safe harbor."
